A Private Tour of the MINI Car Plant Factory in Oxford for up to Eight People

Gather your own exclusive group of up to eight and discover all there is to know about Britain’s most iconic small car. Throughout your 100 minute tour, you will go behind the scenes with a professional guide, exploring how the modern classic is made, from beginning to end.  You’ll kick off your journey with an introduction to the plant’s rich history and significance, and head to the body shop where you’ll see the how the framework is produced by over 1,200 robots.

As your private tour continues, you’ll follow your guide onto the production floor for an up-close view of the MINI production. Here, you’ll see how the car’s bare metal shell is welded together and watch in awe as parts are seamlessly joined by teams of skilled engineers and high-tech robots.  After a private tour of the modern production process, you’ll get a sneak peek into the future of MINI. This experience is perfect for a unique day out with family or friends.

Terms & Conditions

Minimum age: 14. Please note that this is a walking tour and a certain level of mobility is required to cover the distance around the site. The tour is wheelchair accessible. However, participants must be able to board the bus and walk a few steps independently. Please note that electromagnetic radiation is used in one of our halls, which may affect the functioning of medical devices such as insulin pumps or pacemakers, and may pose a risk to pregnant people.

The experience runs Monday to Thursday. (Exclusions may apply). Tour dates are usually published 3 months in advance.

We recommend you book at least 2 weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available. All bookings are subject to availability.
