Harlawhill Day Care Centre

Harlawhill Day Care Centre

Where compassion and community come together.

Harlawhill Day Care Centre has been at the heart of the East Lothian community since 1992, providing a safe and welcoming place for older people to spend their day. The centre is dedicated to supporting those living with dementia, people recovering from a stroke, and others facing age-related conditions, helping them remain independent for as long as possible while offering reassurance to their families.

Supporting Those Who Need It Most.

Harlawhill offers much more than routine care—it provides companionship, structure, and a homely environment where everyone feels valued and included. Its modern facilities and transport service make attending easy and accessible, and members are encouraged to stay active and engaged in ways that suit their abilities and interests.

Activities That Enrich the Day

Each day is filled with laughter, stimulation, and purpose:

• Music therapy sessions that spark joy and fond memories
• Creative activities such as art and crafts
• Games, reminiscence, and gentle exercise to keep body and mind active
• Social opportunities that encourage friendships and reduce isolation

Making a Difference Every Day

Families often remark on the positive impact the centre has on their loved ones, describing how it helps them regain confidence, enjoy life, and feel part of the community again.

In Brief

• Location: Prestonpans, East Lothian
• Opening Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm
