The Caldecott Foundation is a leading provider of therapeutic care and education for children and young people who have not had the best start in life. Based in Kent and Nottinghamshire, we provide therapeutic residential care, fostering services, and specialised education tailored to the individual needs of each child.
Across Kent and Nottinghamshire, we operate seven residential homes, each offering a safe, nurturing environment where children can feel secure and supported. Our homes provide consistent care, therapeutic interventions, and opportunities for personal growth, enabling children to thrive both emotionally and academically. Alongside our residential provision, our fostering service places children with trained foster families in Kent who provide loving, stable homes with a therapeutic focus, helping children to develop resilience and confidence.
Our purpose-built school in Kent caters to pupils aged 5–18, offering bespoke interventions, weekly boarding, and a dedicated Primary provision. Through our Education Services, young people in all of our children’s homes can access personalised learning, from one-to-one tutoring to small group nurturing classrooms, with support to transition into mainstream schools where appropriate.
All our services are delivered in line with the Caldecott Relational Model, which underpins our ethos, values, and practice. This approach ensures children and young people feel safe through nurturing, reparative relationships, providing them with a secure base from which to grow and thrive.
Our therapeutic care and education are delivered by a highly trained and motivated team. Therapists work alongside staff to provide reflective supervision, group support, and bespoke therapeutic plans tailored to each young person’s needs.
