Staying in a lovely 2 bedroom apartment in fabulous Epernay – a short walk from the world-famous Avenue de Champagne. Epernay boasts numerous great restaurants, bars, cafes and champagne houses. Your Prize includes a guided tour of the winery of a family-owned Champagne Makers in nearby Hautvillers. Hautvillers is the village where legend has it that Dom Perignon discovered how to put bubbles into champagne. The story goes that he called out to his fellow monks “Come quickly I am tasting the stars!”. Your guided tour includes several champagne tastings and will be personally hosted by one of the family of the champagne makers you visit.
Your group will also enjoy a fascinating one hour private guided walking tour of Hautvillers village. Later, perhaps take the chance to toast Dom Perignon himself at his statue with a glass of champagne in your hand from one of the many bars and wineries nearby!
Your prize also includes a guided tour of the world-famous Moet et Chandon Cellars in Epernay - the largest cellars in the Champagne region. Following your tour of Moet you will be invited to enjoy a tasting of MOËT IMPÉRIAL & ROSÉ IMPÉRIAL.
