King of the Rainforest - Original Charcoal Sketch
This is a framed original charcoal drawing of a jaguar by the current Big Cat Sanctuary artist in residence Chris Wood.
Black jaguars, often referred to as black panthers, are not a distinct species but rather a colour morph of the jaguar. They are predominantly found in rainforest habitats across Central and South America. The dark, velvety coat of the black jaguar is the result of a genetic mutation that leads to excess production of melanin. This mutation provides excellent camouflage in the dense forests, making the black jaguar an effective and stealthy predator.
This is a one of one that comes with a certificate of authenticity.
